When Miss Bling became Mrs. Cung

I've been pretty busy and haven't been blogging in a while.  Once of the reasons is because I was busy getting married on May 11, 2013!  I wanted to write this post to thank all of the friends and family who came out to celebrate our special day and all of the wonderful vendors that helped make it happen.  Here are some highlights from the day.

Our ceremony was held at 5pm in the afternoon before the reception, so it wasn't a very early start for the girls.  The hair and makeup took place at around 9:30am.  Thanks to all my bridesmaids and girl friends who showed up to give 2hung and the guys a hard time!

After a round of door games, a short tea ceremony took place at my house followed by lunch.  Then the bridal party took off for a first encounter of 2hung and me in my bridal gown at the cathedral just outside my house.

We had some paparazzi tailing us the entire time!

We then took off to get some creative shots at Toogood Pond near Main Street, Unionville.

Then, it was time to head to the Markham Event Centre for the tea ceremony with 2hung's family.  We're so thankful to have Petra help us with the tea ceremony with her lucky Chinese sayings!

And then it was time for the real thing, the wedding ceremony!  We were so happy that so many people were able to make it to the ceremony.  I actually had a hard time putting the wedding ring on 2hung's finger and he had to push it in there himself.  Guess it was swollen fingers due to nervousness!

And then it was over!  Time to party!  I thought that MEC did a great job with the food and service.  We also got a lot of compliments on the wedding cake, but I only had a small bite of it!

Throughout the night, we had some lovely speeches from our maid of honour and our best man.  We had a bunch of games, a surprise, same-day-edit slideshow from our photographer Sandy Tam, and 2hung serenaded me!  We gave our thank you speech along with Mothers Day presentation bouquets to our awesome moms, and kicked off the dancing with our first dance.

And of course there was lots of drinking that occurred before the night concluded.

Here's a list of all of our vendors.  I think they all did a great job and would recommend any of them to our friends, except for maybe the florist.  I did not get the flowers/look that I wanted, but overall we were both very happy with everything else.
