In the beginning of June, my mom came over to visit me in Vancouver, so I thought it would be nice to take a short trip and ride the ferry over to Victoria. Victoria really is a very small city. We arrived around supper time, and checked into the Fairmont Empress Hotel.
I hadn't made any reservations because I wasn't sure which ferry we would be able to make after getting off work. We ended up at a restaurant called Ulla and they had a spot at the bar for us. Ulla turned out to be a pleasant surprise and their food was quite delicious! Displayed like pieces of art.
After the great meal, we walked around some more before heading back to the hotel for the night. It was awfully windy and chilly in Victoria.
The next morning we set out a little bit early to grab some breakfast at Fol Epi and coffee from Cafe Fantastico. These were located near some condo complexes. I think 2hung would've loved to own a coffee shop here.
After breakfast, we walked around town some more before it was time for afternoon tea at the Empress.
Finally, we settled in at the Empress Hotel for a nice luxurious afternoon tea, which we actually ate as lunch.
